Some nutjob in Norway pulled off a mass shooting with a bow and arrows. (https://apnews.com/article/24095a6b0e2bd26d08a145078d242529)

Several people are dead.

Not a lot of info on this so far. Looks like 5 people killed and several in hospital including an off duty LEO that was on scene once the attack started. 20 min before it ended but no motive given.

Sounds like the mass stabbing in London a few years back. Went on for something like 8 minutes, and then within about six seconds of the first person arriving on the scene with an actual firearm, there were three terrorists on the ground bleeding out.

From the country that gave us Anders Breivik.

Obviously that was an Assault Bow. Why oh why does anyone need more than one arrow?

My college classmate and fraternity brother.

Wednesday’s crossbow killing recalls a case in Ottawa in which a man used the same kind of weapon to kill his wife while she was walking on a street.

Colin McGregor was found guilty of first-degree murder in the Nov. 13, 1991, slaying of his estranged wife, Patricia Allen, 31. He is serving a life sentence.

McGregor shot Allen in broad daylight with a razortipped steel hunting bolt from a concealed crossbow.

He pleaded insanity at his trial, but the presiding judge rejected that defence.

The two were separated, but McGregor had harassed Allen for two months before killing her.

He checked into a hotel after buying the crossbow and binoculars, and then renting a car to stalk her.

He said he had contemplated suicide but that in the end, he couldn’t stand the sight of his own blood.

I suppose the moral of the story is that if one can conceal a crossbow we needn't spend a lot of time discussing strategies for concealing a Glock 19.

The concerned individuals are the folks with skinny jeans sporting package enhancement products! They would probably have trouble with a keychain Deringer.

Remember that the weather in Oslo is currently in the real of highs in the 40s-50s and lows approaching freezing. So concealment is likely to be facilitated by appropriate garb.

My post in the other duplicate thread:

They weren't even broadheads. Pictures in European media show regular target shooting arrows with the little metal pointy tip.
Rumor in several publications is that he also used a knife, has previously been under surveillance by Norwegian authorities, is a convert to the religion of peace, and apparently was just on his way to the Aloha Snackbar.
