Good evening. In my search for EDC ammunition, I have come across DocGKR's enlightening posts, and am thankful. With apologies in advance if this topic has been discussed elsewhere, I was wondering what the community would recommend as reliable edc 9mm hollow point ammunition for use with a 3" barrelled pistol (a Kahr MK9), as most discussions I have read make a point of carving out barrels shorter than 3.5" from their analysis and conclusions. Ideally, the rounds would be just as reliable out of 4" and 3.5" barrels, as my other two pistols are an M&P9 (nightstand gun) and an M&P9c (which shares EDC duties with the Kahr depending on weather and dress).

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Best,
DSS07

I don't know the exact barrel length on the Shield but 124 gr HST +P does fine into gel out of mine.
