Hi all. Just beginning to see if IDPA is for me. I apologize if this has been asked before but it is somewhat a time sensitive question . I have a friend who shoots a Sig320Max in other type competitions and I was wondering if it is allowed in IDPA matches? If not, are any Sigs with red dots allowed. He is going to sell it at a very reasonable price to me if I can use it? Which class would it fall under in IDPA? Concealed carry with optics…? Not so concealable!!!

Carry optics legal
ESP legal minus the optic and magwell
SSP may be legal minus the optic and magwell.

Biggest issue is weight of the gun. Double check the idpa rule book (https://www.idpa.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IDPA-Rulebook-2017.pdf).
