Bought a Surefire Warden (direct thread) before they got discontinued and prices went stupid. The directions that came with it indicated it should be "hand tight" without a torque value. On the first range trip it (I guess predictably) came loose. I reinstalled it "hand tight" while both it and the barrel were still pretty hot. Today was the second range trip and a mag and a half to check (can got too hot to touch for more than a half a second or so) it hasn't come loose.

I'll keep an eye on it but I'm wondering for direct thread muzzle devices you don't plan on removing often how hot and how hard do you run it before you're confident it's not going to come loose under regular use? I have a spare crush washer I'll add if it comes loose again but I'm wondering how necessary that is.

Nope. Nothing in the packaging but the muzzle device itself and the instruction sheet. No mention of any sort of threadlocking compound.
