I wonder if Apple's supposed plans to change their port has played into their future plans. At $149.00, that'd be a heavy paperweight if you upgrade your Apple product down the road.

Sadly, but I'm guessing even Apple will have to add an adapter or they risk really ticking off their base-but then again, they are MacHeads

Looks cool, but my feeling is that something like this is more practical for a wider variety of situations:
AnkerŪ Astro3 10,000mAh Dual 2A USB Output (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NGKR54/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&smid=A294P4X9EWVXLJ)

Sure, it's less than half the capacity of the Kickstarter project, but it's more portable (much easier shape to carry). Not trying to crap on the concept piece, but I can't imagine nearly as many uses for a charger-on-the-go that needs table space. Seems like most of its idealized applications (multi-hub chargers for customers) would be better served with a wired unit.

In any regard, I applaud anyone coming up with new concepts for battery technology. This is an underdeveloped area in our modern electronics.

With 25Ah I want it to include 18-20V output so I can power a laptop or netbook, too.

GoalZero already has something similar. (http://www.goalzero.com/)

I have this model (http://www.goalzero.com/shop/p/79/Guide-10-Plus-Adventure-Kit/1:4/) that I picked up for $99 from Costco and works great.
