...and I've pretty much owned them all

The Black Tie is one of the four new Meister Manufaktur pistols Walther is building. Its got a carbon steel frame and slide cut from solid billet steel. Its then Tennifer treated and finished with Stinox, which is a nice satin finish. The one piece wrap around grips are machined from a block of aerospace grade aluminum.

The new Dynamik Performance Trigger is possibly the best striker fired trigger I've ever experienced.

Even the presentation is top notch...

The Black Tie is hefty. It weighs in at 48oz with an empty magazine, which is 5oz heavier than my Q5 Match SF Pro on the left. The Black Tie is near double the price of the standard SF models, but well worth it, in my opinion.

Anybody have one of these or any of the Meister ManufaKtur Walthers?

What did they do to add 5oz to the gun?

Heavier sights, heavier grips, heavier magazines (due to a larger base plate).

The biggest difference though is the mag well. While they look identical, the Pro has an aluminum mag well, while the Black Tie’s is steel.

One of my LGS’s has several of these models in the case. I got to handle a couple of them, and they are almost too “nice” to shoot- particularly the one that looks like it has been color case hardened.

Yeah that’s the Patriot

It’s actually called the Meister Vintage. It’s the fifth Meister which just popped up a couple months ago.

The patriot isn’t case hardened.
