I'm looking for a computer program that could help me make my firing drills cleaner.
A program that would allow me to easily generate my drills on paper.

I put some examples below. https://progunfighter.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/PGF-drill-book-Sept-2015.pdf

Welcome to pistol-forum.

I'm not sure what you are looking for. You want to print paper targets? Or do you want a computer to print the targets? Or do you want to print one or more pages of the *.pfd file at the link you posted?

I believe he's looking for a program to create 3-dimensional diagrams of drills and stages as shown on page 4 of that PDF.

I don't know of a good 3-D program, but if you're a Microsoft offices products user, you can use Microsoft Visio to create some very nice diagrams, like the one one page 5 of the PDF.

Ah. Makes sense...

In the non-Windows world (Linux) I use LibreOffice "Draw" to achieve the same kind of graphical constructs on paper.

https://www.libreoffice.org/discover/draw/

I'm not aware of any existing software that contains pre-constructed primitives that would allow you to design "stages". Though that would be pretty cool...

I've used a program called StageCad before. It looks like it is from 2001, I used it in 2009.

Sample stages.

I don't see it available on the web today, I'm sure it is 32 bit and might not run on 64 bit Windows. It does have a tutorial PDF. It was a free download when I got it, I can share a 2MB self extracting copy if needed.

Never heard of that.

Quick googling found a 2012 copy of the stagecad.com web site in the internet archive.
It even has "Version 1.5.5, dated 26th Spetember 2001" downloadable (about 2mb).

There is author's email gavin.melville@acclipse.co.nz

BTW, there is this web site https://dryfireonline.com/

It is kinda pain in the butt to build stages in there, but after that it is kinda usable for dryfire on a screen. Though probably not for paper drawings.

Many of our regional match directors use this software, up to and including building the stages for nationals this year:

https://tridentstagedesigner.com/

In addition to the builder, it has a library of stages (30K and growing) broken down into folders for USPSA and IDPA rule sets. It’s the brainchild of a PF member.

Might deserve its own thread.
