Picked up both the L and M models of the Arex Delta Gen 2. I’ve had the L for a couple of weeks while the M just delivered to my FFL but haven’t picked it up yet. I am absolutely in love with this L though. Has all the attributes that we appreciate in a striker - low weight and bore axis, pre not fully tensioned striker, physical supported sear until the trigger bar drops it, and a striker indicator ala Walther PPS. Oh and it’s kinda modular in that the grip frame isn’t serialized - the trigger assembly is. Pictures comparing size to my hellcat and p07. Also, I have been using g17 light bearing holsters so far.

Possibly interesting. Is that 20 oz with or without a mag?

What happens if you put your thumb over the hole in the backplate and pull the trigger?

Without mag. 22.87 with (this is the 17rd 4.5” version) - didn’t snag a pic of that measurement. I can feel the striker indicator against my thumb. If I press down hard enough, I can interrupt the trigger from dropping the sear - do wish the striker was a touch longer to make that part easier. Gun is being sent out tomorrow to CHPWS for optic plate prototyping - the factory ones are plastic and quite thick.

Picked up my Delta M model. This is the 4” 15rd version. This is a really nice carry size - the weight and shape of the gun allow it to conceal easily and comfortably.

I'm looking at the Delta M and I'm curious about the holster you have. Either my GoogleFu is not working very well today or I'm having issues locating holsters. Also, now that you've had it for about a month, any new issues you've found that you don't like about it?

Is that a Glock 19 next to the Delta or something else? Any comparison on grip size, width and shape? It seems like it is or could be narrower with the metal magazine but it is hard to tell from pics.

That’s a Hellcat next to it. The delta M is very similar in shape to a glock 19 except the Delta is noticeably thinner and lighter.

So I carry it in a TXC holster made for a Glock 19 with a tlr7. Fits perfectly - clicks in no problem. The delta also fits and clicks into all of my 19 holsters so long as they have adjustable retention.

What’s amazing is that with the light and 15+1 onboard, the guns weights 29.3oz

That is awesome! Thanks for the holster information. I already have a G19 so I can take one of my holsters with me to test fit the pistol.

Have you been able to find any magazines for the L?

I've got two M's, a gen 1 and a gen 2 OR. I'm very tempted to add an L, but I cant ever seem to find any magazines.

I picked up an AMR designs OWB holster for the gen 2/TLR-7A combo. I'm pretty happy with the ANR holster, and will probably order an IWB for the Delta shortly.

I haven’t, no. But my L has been sent off a few different places to try and help it’s aftermarket so I haven’t been messing with it lately and have been focusing on my M. For instance, the L is currently at CHWPS for optic plate development and going to a gun mold company after that so holster makers will at least have a mild for it. That mold will then be off to slim fit holsters to start making holsters for it.

I really hope the aftermarket spools up for these pistols, I think they have some great potential.

It will be nice to have the option of a lower metal optics plate. So far the factory plate has been perfectly serviceable, but it is pretty tall. I put a set of Dawson P320 sights on my M, with the .325 rear and .330 front, you can just see the top of the sights over the deck of an RMR or HS507T.

I have been researching this pistol and likely watching to many YouTube reviews, but this guy found CZ10 Magazines to work in his Arex Delta to work. I can't comment as I don't own an Arex Delta so take it for what it's worth.

This is an appealing gun. Smaller and lighter than the g19 with same capacity and ballistics - I think this is the only striker that out-g19's the g19.

Would you happen to know how much the striker is pretensioned? I believe the Glocks are ~60% pretensioned. Also, is the striker block relatively forward on the striker? From a video I saw it looks like the plunger is a semi-circle located pretty far forward in the slide.

Any idea if the striker indicator gets similar leverage on the trigger as an SCD for a Glock?

Saw two of these at the fun store yesterday. Fingerbanged them, and was impressed with the size and capacity. For a full doublestack 9mm magazine, the pistol is impressively small. But. It has a mediocre trigger. Definitely needs some work, or some drop-in parts. Will watch for improvements.

The trigger gets incredibly nice with a polish and a Glock reduced weight striker spring. I'm down to just under 4lbs with a smooth pull and clean break.

I have no idea on the pretension amount but, yes, the striker block is far forward - similar to my Glocks and Walthers.

So I’ve been reading and watching vids on how the gen2 fits some Glock 19 holsters. Does anyone know if the M will fit the Alien gear shapeshifter glock19 shell? Thanks

I watched the polenar tactical video on how to clean up the trigger. Just wandering if this is something similar to what you did?

Ok I just went and double checked with mine and it didn’t Matter whether the trigger was pulled or not for the slide to go on. I could reset the trigger and attach the slide no problem. Looks like from the pics you pretty much have the slide lined up with the rails of the frame. For me all I have to do is put a little of down pressure on the back of the slide and pull back maybe 1/8 inch or less until you hear a small click and it should be good to go.

That happened to me twice with Glocks. The predicate was that I removed the slide without pulling the trigger. The Glock solution was to depress the trigger bar and "uncock" the trigger. Once that happens, the clouds part and the slide can be replaced on the rails.
