Congrats!

I just had a set of twin girls back in January. Life as you once knew it is over but the change is very rewarding. When they start to smile back at you, giggle and try to talk, that's when it really starts to get fun.

That looks like some good work. Congrats to you all, and a speedy recovery for mom.

Congrats on the new brass picker upper!

In my experience, mom and dad are the picker uppers for a few years... and we only wish it was brass they leave for us to clean up! ;)

Congratulations, man!

They're sure right about it going fast. My first is 8 months already; she's crawling and sitting up and getting teeth and trying hard to start talking. Prepare to be blown away.

Thanks everyone--home from the hospital now. He's jaundiced (yay for being an Asian baby, and and asian-white mix) so we've had to supplement the breastfeeding with some formula to get him pooping more while mom's milk comes in.

But overall, things are great. Haven't had much sleep in the past two days but I wouldn't change a damned thing. I love this kid so freaking much.

On the bright side: mom can start going to the range again!

Best wait on that while Rev. 2.0 is still breastfeeding.

Oh, I didn't realize the lead (assumption) could cross over into the breast milk.

Good to know, thanks!

If you have problems getting the little guy to sleep; turn on the vacuum cleaner or an air filter on high for some soothing white noise.

And don't count on having problems. Griffin was two months early and we spent a month getting him sprung from the hoosegow, but life has been pretty trouble free since; he's 18 months old and has slept through the night since like ever. One thing has proven true: every single day is cooler than the last, and I can't wait to get home every night to see what's new.

Well, not YOUR friend, because you won't be getting any sleep, but it will help the little guy.

Or you could make the "Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." sound but then you get light headed real quick. :p
Which reminds me…I’m usually not big on product endorsements but this DVD (http://www.happiestbaby.com/store/Babies/The-Happiest-Baby-DVD-p5.html)will turn you into a baby whisperer. The only time these techniques won’t work is when there is some kind of pain like acid reflux or gassy cramps.

We've got this one. (http://www.amazon.com/Conair-SU1W-Sound-Therapy-Silver/dp/B000F54AN8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1341517316&sr=8-1&keywords=conair+sound+machine) It does help. (Pro tip: If you need them to sleep in the car, an empty FM station faded to the rear speakers is a decent substitute.)

We're lucky; my sister-in-law is a former multiples nanny and currently runs baby's orphanges in Uganda. She knows babies, and gave us lots of good advice (especially regarding sleep). Having a three month old who sleeps through the night is kind of awesome.

Make sure you've tested them all for reliability ;)
When my daughter got attached to her first stuffed animal we ran around and picked up 2 more copies. Of course now she couldn't care less about that one.

A former coworker got on a plane to move to Spain, only to find out that their daughter's favorite woobie was packed up with their household goods. It was a LONG flight.

Before you go making a bunch of modifications, try a few training classes first...... Oh wait.

Seriously, he is a handsome little guy. My very best wishes for health and happiness to you and your family.

You now have the greatest and most terrifying job in the world - being a daddy. I know you will be the father that your son looks upon with pride.

And start putting aside a box of .22 ammo every time you buy a package of diapers. It's a great investment.

Congratulations!!!

As others have mentioned, your life has just changed in a big way, but it is for the better.

Sleep, range time, extra cash, and extra time will all become rare - but it will be all worth it. I'm 19 months into my first one, and I love him more and more every day.
