I got one too but the safety plunger doesn’t fit into the slide. Sending it back to Nelson with the parts.

Are those screws/bolts? If yes, what are they there for?

I haven’t taken it apart, but I believe they hold the gold colored breech block in the slide.

So the gold colored portion is a separate piece? Is it steel?

I didn't even realize I needed a Glock 44.

Think I finally found some ammo this thing likes. Aguila Super Extra, Aguila Interceptor and Remington Thunderbolt. It did not like the Federal stuff I tried the other day or Winchester Wildcat.

I do. I have a Swampfox dot that should be here tomorrow. I’ll post up some pics when I get it and the higher BUIS installed.

The Justice.

Nice - I have a Sentinel on my 43x MOS but haven’t been able to shoot it yet due to ammunition scarcity. I’m curious how the Justice works out for you.

I will keep this post updated as I go. I hope to use this in steel challenge matches in the spring.

Justice came in. The screws it came with weren’t as long as I would like. Barely had any thread engagement. So I’ll mount it after I get some better screws.

Not sure why I would want to spend another $220 on a target/practice pistol. What's the matter with the stock slide that this makes a significant improvement on ?

Being red dot ready would be the obvious improvement.

That's too bad. I bought mine a couple of months ago to shoot some cheaper ammo and it is same size as my Glock 19. I have put about 2000 rounds thru mine of almost every ammo I can find except CCI Minimags because I knew it would shoot those. I have put lots of Federal of various grain weights, Aguilla, Winchester Wildcats, Remington Golden Bullet, and Blazer. Have not had a single failure to feed, fire, or eject on the gun at all. I have had a few fail to fire, but put the round back in and shot again and they always fired.

I have also had zero problems with first round feed due to magazine loading issues and I go out of my way to just throw the rounds in the mag and not try to align the nose of the first round upward.

Very happy with everything on it except I don't like stock Glock sights and have painted top edge of front and rear sights to give me a much better sight picture and POA. Had to adjust windage to the right a fair amount and did not want to try to move the sight so just used the adjustment.

Picture of painted sights...

I would not have bought it if I just shot irons. I tried a dovetail mount/red dot on the stock slide. Sucked. This setup, once I get the dot mounted, mirrors my duty/carry pistol.

I guess so. I just don't need a red dot on my .22. I guess some people like them but I actually prefer metal sights. But, if that's what they want and they have the money, then go for it I guess.

I think you are missing the point. This lets you have a .22 copy of a red dot G19 to train with during these times of $0.50/rd 9mm.

Following this thread closely. I don't have a G44 yet, but this may move it to the top of the list.

This almost makes me consider a Glock 44.

This almost makes me consider a Glock 44.
I bought one because I have plenty of .22 ammo and my wife and I go shoot together but she shoots her S&W M&P 22 Compact, while I used to shoot my Glock 19.

Now I'm not shooting my Glock 19 much. Can't get and trying to save ammo. And the Glock 44 is same size as my Glock 19.

Was a little bit concerned about things I had read that people had trouble with such as finicky about ammo and feeding problems with the Glock mags. So, i bought one about 2 months ago and put all kinds of ammo through it. Have shot about 2000 rounds or more and had only a couple of fail to fires that were ammo issues I think, and no feed problems without even being careful of round position when I load the magazines.

Took a little bit to zero the sights and I hate the Glock stock sights so I did a little bit of "custom marking" on mine and now it is just great to shoot. Wife likes to even fire a few through it every time we go.

Glad yours is working well. There is a huge thread on Glock talk of you run into any problems Chuck there.

I’m still waiting for mine to returned with the correct machining. With the mail so slow who knows when that will be.

I got lucky. I didn’t pre order from that first run but saw an email saying, “we found a couple extra” and snagged one of those. Right place right time. I got the last one.

Me either. Should have it by May. Honestly don't really need it much sooner than that. Between winter in northern MI, ammo shortages and having a 3 year old and 3 day old I probably won't be doing a ton of shooting between now and then anyways.

Now that the availability of the Nelson slides is much better and they now offer a cut for the lighter weight Holosun 407/507K, how are these running for everyone? I want a .22 pistol with a dot, and I'm all in on Glocks for my 9mm pistols. It would be nice to have the holster compatibility, but it's a significant investment for me to get into the G44 + Nelson slide +optic. In comparison, I can go with the well-reviewed Taurus (gross, but it is what it is) TX22 Compact which is K optic ready from the factory. The extra expense there is a new holster, much less than a new slide.
Nelson's lightest slide option is the EDC slide, and with a K optic that comes to 4.8 oz vs 4 oz for the Glock factory slide. Is 0.8 oz enough to affect reliability with random .22lr ammo? If the Nelson slide makes the gun extra finicky and a pain in the ass, I'm inclined to go with the TX22 compact and having to admit I own a Taurus pistol. (I'm joking about Taurus, don't get too upset at my smack talk as from what I see online, the TX22 series is quality).
