Gentlemen -

I am a new CMP board member. Our CEO just informed us of a generous donation by Midway USA. As you can see, Midway USA has a long history of supporting CMP and our youth shooting programs. Good deeds should not go unrecognized.

"All,

We received a check from the Midway Foundation – funneled thru the Tulsa Community Foundation for whatever reason. This $200K is passed on by us to various shooting teams for their MidwayUSA Endowments. Teams that win or place in our events receive these dollars. They are allowed to use 5% per year of their endowment amounts, and Midway provides with ways to add to the endowments.

The Potterfield Foundation and the MidwayUSA has been amazingly supportive of junior shooting through the last ten years.

I cannot find a number for their total contributions – but several years ago they had contributed over $40 million to youth shooting and have continued to do so – at one time committing 50% of their personal annual profits to supporting youth shooting. A recent internet search showed a 3 year contribution of $880K to a shooting club in Pleasant Grove UT what was building an Olympic-style bunker (Shotgun event) shooting facility.

For many years, the CMP has received over $1M from them – much to be distributed to junior competitors and about a third to defray our administrative expenses.

Larry and Brenda Potterfield are good folks – and very generous.

Judy"
