Self Defense Shooting

The seminar is a 2-day introducLon to best pracLces in armed self-defense. The format will include one day for pistol and the second day for rifle (You have the opLon to aZend either day or both days). The concentraLon of the pistol course will include on body concealed carry, and on body open carry. The Carbine porLon course will focus on proper handling, target transiLons and deploying the weapon. Each day will begin with a safety brief, daily schedule and overview of training. There will be a one-hour break, on your own, for lunch to relax and network. If you prefer, it is possible to pack a lunch and stay onsite. Water will be provided and there is a full restroom in vicinity of the range. Two professionals will provide the instrucLon. Both have extensive domesLc and overseas experience. Together they have over 30 years of specialized instrucLon for self-defense.
Day 1 Pistol
-Safety consideraLons
-Fundamentals of marksmanship
-SituaLonal Awareness
-The use of intermediate barriers for concealment or protecLon
-Best pracLces for clearing clothing before drawing the weapon
-For those taking both days we will work to confirm zero on your AR at the end of day 1
Day 1 Equipment
--Compact or full size pistol (Examples: Glock 19, G17, 48, Sig p365xl, p320 or equivalent) (No ported barrels)with 10 round capability
-3 pistol magazines
-250 rounds of factory ammuniLon
-Pistol holster (The holster can be “In the waistband IWB” or “out of the waistband OWB”), this should be the holster you use to carry for every day carry. *Please speak to host if you have any quesLons about holsters before aZending class. NO GUN BELTS, WAR BELTS, BATTLE BELTS -Pistol magazine pouch(s) with ability to hold 1 or 2 on body
Day 2 Rifle

-Rifle to pistol transiLon (lecture and limited pracLce) -Engaging mulLple targets

Day 2 Equipment
-AR rifle or AR pistol (Min. 10.5’ barrel)
-3 30 round magazines
-250 rounds of factory ammo
-Rifle sling
-Zeroed sighLng device (Best suited: Electrical dot; Medium suited: variable power; Less suited: iron sites) -Belt Magazine Pouches, Chestrig, or Pants with Back Pockets
-Pistol belt, Gun belt, EDC carry holster, BaZle belt (which ever you prefer)
