View Full Version : ANTIFA: "Hey Comrades, let's go to the Sturgis Rally, it'll be FUN"!

But not fun for them.
Pro Tip: If you wish to teach the bikers at the rally a lesson, send more than 10 of your "Comrades".
Imagine the irony of being protected by the very people that you declare must defunded.

They will either cross South Dakota off their list, or they will show up in force.

This is a good reminder that most of the antics of these people have been going on in locales sympathetic or even encouraging of their bullshit. Seattle, Portland, DC, California as a whole (sorry), Denver, Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, NYC, etc.

I don't think things are going to go so well when they show up in places like Sturgis where there is a far lower tolerance for a bunch of petulant white kids.

I think I would have invited all the nice officers in for a coffee and a Danish. I’d say about 30 minutes would do it.

They could finish up, then go outside and activate EMS.

Kudos to the professionals for protecting those sissies.

Hopefully, learning has occurred.

Hopefully, learning has occurred.

Perhaps. But, more likely, the police just stalled Darwin from occurring.

In general I agree, but there are parts of California that are not sympathetic to Antifa and the like. Several weeks ago there was a small protest at one rural town near me. A bunch of the locals, and an outlaw motorcycle club, made it pretty clear they were not sympathetic to whole thing. There hasn't been another protest at that locale since. I think the protestors realized it's much easier to go to another town nearby, which is both a college town and the County seat, where they'll be feted by the local politicians.

Just like real estate prices, tolerance for this stuff is all "location, location, location."

That’s why I threw my “sorry” in there. I know not all of Cali isn’t LA and San Fran, just like all of Florida isn’t Miami, but it seems harder and harder in Cali to discern that.

Doing something to agitate a crowd on their "home turf" where their intersections have bail bonds, liquor stores and legal assistance offices on each corner is generally an indicator to bring more friends than the people you're intending to agitate.

That's a lesson that a Lt from Brooklyn South Warrants taught me when I thought I had committed a faux pas and gotten his whole squad out of bed for nothing.

Most parts of the country would certainly be much less tolerant of these shenanigans than Seattle, Portland, etc. have been. I think most people on both sides of the political divide would get quite impatient with the rhetoric if their neighborhoods were being trashed.

Better safe than...well...not safe. I was just serving a warrant in Little Odessa the other day. One guy pulled up and asked if we were there to arrest Hillary Clinton. [emoji849]

ANTIFA types like to fuck with police because they know the ROE work in their favor. They'll never push it against groups willing to do time for violence.

When you're writing a post there's a little icon that looks like a film strip above the box where you type. Click that and paste the link where it says "enter your video clip URL below". The quoted post below has attachments that show what I'm talking about.

this is is how you embed videos.

I think the fighting prowess of the average person riding on two wheels is vastly overrated. (That said, I've met some mean hombres on two wheels from Pagans, Outlaws and other such clubs.)

Cruising to the nearest buffet or mud wrestling match does not a warrior make.

But, quantity has a quality of it's own, as old Joe Steel once said.

Guys, that dude accomplished his mission. A bunch of predominantly white, old, Trump-supporting middle Americans got filmed threatening him for "voicing a opposing position" or however you want to put it. And then the cops got filmed arresting him. Slam-dunk. Doesn't matter how cretinous he was for driving all the way out to the middle of nowhere just to instigate the damn thing. Shit, he probably even dyed his hair purple just to paint a better picture.

I get the whole "never attribute to intelligence that which can be adequately explained by idiocy", but I think we (us law'n'order types) are severely underestimating the savvy of the opposition. And it doesn't take a whole ton of savvy to predict how this would play out or the optics thereof.

IMO the only calculating that when on there was his calculation the police would save him and he would claim the trophy of Sturgis for all his gram buddies to fawn over.

The point where most of the people are sympathetic to the cause is long, long past. Instead of seeing old white dudes going racist things, they're seeing a bunch of jerks going where they aren't wanted to spoil other people's fun, and missed a well deserved educational beatdown because of the ironic of the very police they want to abolish.

Two bits, mildly unpopular.

(1) You are not their target market, Joe.
(2) I'm not even sure they have a market in mind, but I do know they like B-roll of mobs of guys in MAGA hats beating up on leftie-looking types.

And now, for the shit ain't nobody gonna like hearing, but that's what you get when you don't have downvotes on a forum:

Dude has free speech, and the definition of supporting free speech is, "You don't beat up people that say stuff you don't like." If you're gonna get riled up because some idjit wandered into downtown Portland wearing a MAGA hat and got his ass beat, then you can't really advocate a wood shampoo for this fool. And I'm all for free speech! I mean, A, I kinda swore an oath to uphold ye olde Constitution, and B, free speech is great, because the more these guys talk in public, the dumber and crazier they sound. Hell, I think that if we want to end racism, we should have NBC make a show where ordinary, everyday members of the Aryan Brotherhood explain their views for 30 minutes.

So no, I will not opine that this guy should get his ass kicked, or even that he deserved to get his ass kicked.

I will, however, say that a kick in the ass was pretty much the expected result, akin to wearing bacon suit and jumping into the polar bear exhibit.

Big difference.

Note the crowd pretty much held back until the dood kicked the guy on a bike... which tends to fall under the classic "don't start nothing" rule.

Now, while I'm not the target market, there's a lot of people who don't wear Maga hats, or even like Trump that much, that are losing patience and sympathy with the young punks burning stuff and starting trouble. When that happens, your attempt at winning sympathy backfires- and it's nothing new.
