Any LEO who may face protesters with lasers should understand 1) the need for protective glasses, and 2) the very real danger of serious, permanent injury that the attack may cause. Having this information may potentially help in deciding the level of force to use in response, as well as defending that use of force.

Re: protective glasses, this was brought up in the other thread. It’s not that simple. A member who works with lasers for DOD and explains protective glasses for lasers must be wavelength / color specific to be effective. There are no glasses that protect against all lasers.
