One of our fairly rare forays into the Southwest is coming up in November, when we conduct a Three Day Firearms Instructor Development Course in Casa Grande, Arizona. We’ll be using the excellent Casa Grande Police Range and weather in November should be perfect for training. See

One in particular is already planning on being there. And he will once again humiliate me when I shoot next to him!

Plus it probably has the best chance of you having to put your skills to the test outside class.......... :)

Y'all listen to Cecil's advice on this. There are plenty of spots around there you DON'T want to stay.

This one is looking to be quite enjoyable.

I told Erick Gelhaus that he was appointed as Special Assistant in Charge of Harassing Cecil Burch, but for some reason, he seems to be concerned about Cecil's thoughts on the matter.

No, that is not what I wrote. It had nothing to do with the good Mr. Burch.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good story.

We have our last class out West this year coming up on Nov 13-15 in Casa Grande, Arizona. This will be a Three-Day Firearms Instructor Development Course at a very nice police range. In 2021 we don’t have anything scheduled further west than Dallas, so this is your last chance for quite a while.

We finished up a very good Firearms Instructor Course this evening in Casa Grande, Arizona. We started with 21 students from several states, including Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas, and Washington. Of those 21, 18 passed all the required tests and received certificates. The class average scores were very good, as follows:
FBI Pistol Qualification 96.7%
Rangemaster Instructor Qualification 96%
Written Examination 95.7%

Congratulations to the class Top Gun, Erick Gelhaus, with a blazing aggregate score of 298.8 out of 300. That is very high level performance. My thanks to our local host and AI, Cecil Burch.
