I’ve meant to circle back to this.

I found it very interesting he’s carrying an SRO as that’s where my curiosity is piqued as well.

I need to finish it.

Not being big on youtube gun heroes I didn't even know who this garand thumb guy was until I saw this video. I mentioned that on the MSP alumni page and they schooled me.

Curious to see if the Jagerwerx B.R.O.S. (http://jagerwerks.com/pre-order-b-r-o-s-4-6-weeks/) makes a material difference in SRO durability.

Well he is still nobody significant to me, but apparently he is a big deal on the internet but does actually have some real world credentials to back it up (USAF SERE specialist). There was a rumor that he was Travis Haley's son for a while but that is not the case.

FWIW, he started as a SERE instructor, he's currently a USAF Special Tactics Officer.

That's not really his reason for being popular, though. He shoots a lot...like...a lot. He has a particular style to his youtube channel that lots of people enjoy. Fairly humble.

About the only thing that irks me is that he associates with that T Rex kid, who is a 180* opposite personality (complete douchebag) compared to "Flannel Daddy". I often wonder if Garand Thumb associates with him for the same reason that girls will go out to bars with ugly friends on purpose, to make themselves even more attractive against the immediate surroundings.

I believe this was the result of GT taking one of AsianJedi classes.

AsianJedi a member here so he can speak to it.

Could be wrong but I believe on a Drinkin Bros podcast (by Black Rifle Coffee Co) he and the podcaster (an AF JTAC), it was mentioned that GT was also a JTAC/ Combat Controller prior to SERE. he recently got his commission to the officer ranks.

Jarred from the Free Range American (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLOJmF-H75NPzfU5cKVyk8Q/videos) podcast interviewed him twice (https://youtu.be/eN5gC5rA6BM). The first one (https://youtu.be/ByHusIJ6lM8) was so bad that they did a do-over, which I and a lot of other people in the comments found hilarious. Jarred just couldn't bring himself to let GT finish a thought.

They were both Tactical Air Control Party Specialists (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Air_Force_Tactical_Air_Control_Party ).

By most accounts GT is a good dude and a YouTuber that's one of us.

I'd say it's more of a business relationship thing, Lucas has a big following. I know there are people I have done work for that benefited me financially and opened up doors of opportunity that I wouldn't really choose to be associated with otherwise.

Yup, it was Free Range American, not Drinking Bros. BRCC is diversifying so much I can’t keep them straight. BTW, TACP for the AF is the initial occupational specialty designation 1Z3X1 and JTAC is the qualification earned in the follow-on school.
