Yep. That’s what this Forum is akin to.
Instead of interrupting some of the recent great posts here, I’d just like to use this thread to say “Thanks!”
The wealth of knowledge and history around here is nothing short of remarkable. For folks like myself (and it looks like many here) who are both revolver nerds, history geeks, and old gear wonks, this recent treasure trove of insights is the first thing I stop at with my morning coffee. (I guess that doesn’t say much for me but...)
In my own little corner of these discussions, I’ve made it a point to assemble every piece of gear I have been issued from the beginning. Along with the “stuff” I’ve also made little notes of “why” and “when” things were replaced or changed. Sometimes, the “why” is more interesting than the “what”.
I just want to once again voice my appreciation for all those who have put their experiences and recollections into print here for the rest of us to enjoy.
