Dead at 87. Cancer, not Covid.

Little Richard was a rock and roll pioneer.

Here’s Jimi Hendrix and little Richard covering Elvis

And imagine how heavy Long Tall Sally was in 1956. It still rocks today.

Great song, reminds me of Arnold, Jesse Ventura, thumping helicopters and leaf chewing tobacco for some reason. :)

Still held up in the 80's. Ah the 80's....

Hard to imagine a more charismatic musician. Little Richard and Chuck Berry were guaranteed to lift up the mood in any setting. Hard not to want to get up and move when he is playing.

A true pioneer in rock and roll, who set the stage for a cultural revolution in music.

Sad to see him go. I suppose I'm glad he is no longer suffering from the pain of cancer. Glad covid didn't get him.

Side note: I got to see Little Richard live in about 2006 or 2007 at a concert in Austin. It was...memorable...to say the least.
