Now that I'm out of the K frame business, it's time to clear out the extras.

I have two spare hammers. In the photos below, there is a gage pin through their pivot holes to ensure they are aligned. The firing pins on both are spring loaded.

The hammer on top was sold to me by a guy on the blue forum who had it as NOS. It was supposed to be and appears to be a factory bobbed K frame hammer. It has case hardening coloration on the rear surfaces and no SA notch. There are no witness marks evidencing any use.

The hammer on the bottom was purchased off Ebay. It was represented to be a "low spur" K frame hammer. I suspect the seller didn't know what he was talking about, and clearly I didn't either at the time. It does not have the countersink on the frame side of the pivot hole that is visible on the bobbed hammer. Many details are aligned, but the firing pins clearly would not hit the center of the same primer.

Research elsewhere suggests the taller hammer is actually for an L frame. Does someone else here know their S&W guts well enough to confirm it?
