I’ve been listening to Jocko’s podcast quite a bit during quarantine. Lots of good material. I found the interviews with some of the SOG Vietnam guys to be compelling stuff. I’ll give this a listen. Just hope I don’t have to listen to anything about his relationship with Sarah Palin’s daughter ;)

I listened back when this first launched. I haven't listened to every podcast, but I try to at least keep up with the new ones as they launch. I'm looking forward the recent one with PatMac but haven't caught up that far yet.

I'm a fan of Jocko's work, his podcast, books, and overall the message he carries. While I haven't internalized it to the level Duke has, but I've definitely made some changes because of the ideas he presents.

Thanks for noticing

I did the Jocko 4 am thing for a solid 2 years. Listened to every podcast. Read all the books. Got the audio versions too.

All in all it is a net positive for me. Though I have reverted back to my late night workouts as they fit the schedule with infants better.

Had to take a break from weekly listening as well. All those extraordinary men in extreme battles played too hard a contrast to my very easy and uneventful existence.

The interview with Holocaust survivor Rose Schindler is a must-listen as well, IMO.

The Sean Parnell interview is excellent. Over three hours, but well worth it.

Start at 39:20 and there’s something at 39:30 that might have SeriousStudent singing the Halls of Montezuma

If I did sing, your ears would likely never recover.

I had seen that podcast. I do like Tim Kennedy, and appreciated his and Jocko's kind words towards their brothers in arms.

In a similar vein, I had the opportunity to do some work many years ago with the 10th Mountain Division. I found them to be very professional Soldiers, and quite creative in their insults. They gave as good as they got.
