Clinch Pick 1 vs 2 RFI

I have a China Pick 1. Is the China Pick 2 with the flat handles the same footprint as the CP1. I am talking about the handle only. So would the difference between 1 & 2 in the grip part be just that the handle is flat?
Can someone measure the thickness of the 2 flat handle. I am thinking to have my CP 1 handle flattened.

Mine is 0.850" at the widest part of the flats.
