I tried an experiment today to see what kind of point of impact shift I would get with the SIG Romeo 4H RDS with factory QD mount and the ADM Recon H QD mount using a Schmidt & Bender Short Dot PM II 1-4. The test was done from a rest at 100 yards using a 16 inch AR with a Faxon pencil barrel, ALG ACT trigger and Hornady M193. The RDS was zeroed for different ammunition but the Hornady M193 POI was close enough for my purposes. With the 1X RDS my old eyes did not allow me to make out the smaller target diamonds so I fired all shots using the large center diamond with the RDS.

I fired an initial 5 shot group with the SIG RDS then swapped it for the ADM/S&B at 4X. I continued changing optics until I had 3 five shot groups for each optic.

Initial group with the RDS taken through the spotting scope.
