I just re listened to the original with new ears. And honestly the Rush version is unbeatable. What a band!

Time Stand Still is spectacular. I can't say this Army chorus version did much for me but I've been mainlining the original since it was released.

So many others just like that one too.

to name of few favorites with lyrics that rocked me. In a later interview he said his politics have always been clear, he was a libertarian generally.

I always loved that Peart wrote largely of deeper topics than broken heart tripe or sexy booties etc.

The song "The Garden" from the last studio album Clockwork Angels has lyrics that suggest Neil Peart was thinking about his legacy. The version from the R40 tour is amazing.
