Convex side up, down, or it doesn't matter?

ETA after thinking it more, I would think you want the convex side up, so that it pushes against the battery. Or again, does it not matter on a Type 2 RMR?

You have an "anti-flicker" sealing plate made to help type 1 RMRs.

With type 2 RMRs you DO NOT want an anti-flicker plate, they can damage the new connector style. You want a completely flat sealing plate.

Just to be sure, this plate is Trijicon OEM and does not have any bumps or protrusions. It's perfectly flat but the entire plate is slightly curved, like a leaf spring.

That's fine. OEM plate will flatten out as you torque it down.

What i'm talking about is this:

Type 1

Type 2

The type 2 plate is the same as the OEM.
