I worked on my 38 LCR with +P rounds a few days ago. After 50 rounds, my palm was sore. Despite that, I went and shot another 50 rounds. My control out to 15 and 25 yards was good, even with follow up shots. Recoil is not so much of an issue. The soreness makes me wonder what I can do to mitigate or prevent that.

Padded shooting glove works great for intensive sessions with a hard kicking handgun. As a cop I work Bike Patrol often and wear a padded protective glove for duty. Part of the Law Enforcement Bicycle Association (LEBA) certification required training and qualification with the duty weapon while wearing the gloves. I was amazed at how well it eased the effects of extended shooting. Makes me wonder why I never tried a shooting glove before. As a side note...DO NOT take the LEBA course (40 hrs) without a padded bicycle short. I did and then the relief when I started patrolling with a bike short set was as pronounced as with shooting with a padded glove. :)
