I have read some accounts of of the beretta 92a1 rail possibly not being of standard dimensions and therefore not accepting certain, commonly well regarded weapon lights without some grinding/tweaking/filing.Can anybody here give some info based on experience with this issue? Is it a non issue or an issue that has been addressed by the manufacturer. Thankyou in advance.

Doh! Wrong section. Mods, please move?
Apologies all around!

I hadn’t heard that rumor before, but FWIW both the TLR-1 and X-300U fit just fine on my 92A1.

I've had 3 and never found any of my x300's or TLR1's to not fit. Some lights were very hard to get off but I didn't have to do anything to the rail to make them fit.

Mine has a TLR 1HL on it. I use the Glock key, the 1913 key needs a ittle a little sanding to fit in the slot.

I have a 92A1 as well. I can tell you on mine an Olight will not fit at all. As for my prefered light, TLR-1, the 92 and 1913 keys will not fit in the 92 rail slot. I filed down a 92 key to get it to fit the slot, but found the Glock key is slightly smaller than the rail slot and that works. With the 92 key after I made it fit the slot, the light would still not mount very good.

Now on my Elite LTT, the TLR-1 fits with the 1913 or 92 keys and my Olight PL-2 Valkrie fits just fine as well.

When I had one I had no issues with TLR-1 or Surefire.
