Looong time lurker first-time poster. I am from sunny South Africa and have wanted to post in the house of PF for a while, so here goes. A good buddy of mine is in sales for one of the two S&W agents in our country and he decided to offer me first pick of some of his collection, I chose these :
15-4
14-4
10-7

Those are top choices in all respects. You have lots of flexibility and lots of fun awaiting you in those great revolvers!

A 2" Model 15 Combat Masterpiece was my first issued firearm when I began my law enforcement career. It is a sentimental favorite.

You did very well.
Welcome.
Thank you Wayne, I certainly intend to.
Very interesting Blues, this is the third 2 inch model 10 that I have seen and the first in near mint condition.
PS this revolver sub forum is also deadly to the bank balance across the pond and thank you all for the fantastic revolver info, please keep it coming.
You did very well.
Welcome.
Thank you Stephanie much appreciated.
So, none of the stocks are original, the set on the model 10 and model 14 were ordered through S&W directly, the stocks on the model 15 are Pachmyer wood. While I am no expert it looks like the model 10 l was hardly shot at all, the model 14 has been shot a bit and the same with the model 15.We have an onerous licensing process here which will begin as soon as I get the paperwork from my friend. Today was a good day.

I think I might’ve browsed ebay for some period-correct stocks. At least for the magnas. Original target stocks can get pretty expensive.
But if they work for you, that’s all that matters.
Nice guns there, some real classics.
Very nice.
2" k frames always surprise me how accurate they are, and easy to carry.
Can you carry in SA?

Those revolvers will serve a wide variety of purposes quite well.
I am also curious about whether carrying one of these in South Africa is a realistic possibility.

Thank you all for your kind words about my purchases. Regarding carry, the short answer is yes, I could carry these if I wanted to and while I would be adequately served, I carry a Glock 43, due to work (really an NPE).
