Will a gen 4 glock slide fit/work on a gen 5 frame?

Gen5 frame/lower has ambi slide release lever - no cut out on the Gen4 slide for that. I'd imagine that would lead to effectively having no slide release levers...

It will as long as you have a G5 backplate on the slide.

As noted you need a G5 back plate.

If you want the slide catch to work you will need to either swap out for an single side or cut the right side lever off a gen 5.

Necro but just to confirm, with a Gen4 factory glock 19 I just need to find the 3.50, gen5 backplate and it will run? I have A spare Glock 19 gen5 lower and I have a new never fired gen4 19. I also have a gen4 glock23 slide and was thinking of just swaping the gen4 19 slide (with gen5 backplate) on the gen5 frame and the gen4 23 slide on the gen4 19 frame because reasons.
