Finally! We're looking to offer full support with a full custom designed holster, the Apollo, for the Ruger SP101. It will retain all of our original features, the rounded muzzle, spherical cylinder end, and accommodate all grips, sights, and lasers.

P-F gets first crack, post or subscribe to follow. We do expect this to take a little longer to arrive as we need to locate a Wiley Clapp SP101. Any leads on a new in box model will be rewarded.

Progress update: SP101 in hand, working through some modeling right now. Really pushing for November, but machine time isn't looking too hot.

I missed this the first time around. I have an older 9mm 3 1/16" barrel I would loan you. I'm only a couple of hours away from Pittsburgh.

How is this progressing?

Looking forward to snapping one up.

Slowly.

Had some hiccups in machining. Basically we've had some super low rates and the reliability has shifted. Once a member presented an alternative, I've not had a chance to pursue. Working on some molds to quote with the members suggestion today. SHOT took far more time from us than imagined, but we've got some cool stuff in the works. Hopefully an entire new range of the Apollo holsters for a few more guns and including some much requested options that we spent too long trying to iron out.

Be still, my beating heart! :)

I'll even give ya some delicious brown liquor to pour in one of them sweet glasses of yours. Probably even throw in a cigar, too.

Any updates on this project? I'll be needing to adding one of these to my box-o-holsters soon.

Getting there. We've got a launch with a few other new snubbies too.

Hopefully you didn't, but our SP101 Apollo is designed to a new Apollo format and scheduled to be machined on Friday. We should have 3" SP101 prototypes, with a high degree of confidence they'll be good to go, by mid-week next week. Kimber K6S and Taurus following damn near immediately after.

Am I reading that right?

Am I reading that right?

Yup. The Executive Grade is no joke, and historically their snubbies have been viable. I think it's important to support the parties at Taurus doing their damndest, acknowledging the image of the company prior to them starting, and pushing forward with great products. Doesn't mean we're offering something for everything though.

As the owner of a new 856 Executive, I am eagerly awaiting this development.

This is why you are always my hero. It's not just the Lemonheads and Glencairn whiskey glasses - it's the holsters and customer service. :)

The Apollo change a little for snubbies and we're using this format moving forward with the Taurus, Kimber, Colt, and eventually redoing the J-frame and LCR models.
