View Full Version : Dems Try To Put Positive Spin On Mueller Testimony...Really?

I can't help but laugh and scratch my head at some of the Democratic party strategists apologists that are trying to put a positive spin on yesterday's train wreck of an appearance by Mueller before congress.

So, I've been trying to think of some other types of things I'm likely to hear from Dems...

I really like my house much better since the fire. It's a lot airier and I feel more in touch with the outdoors.

My car is a lot nicer since the accident. It's much more compact and easier to fit into small spots.

Life is much better without teeth. I never get cavities anymore and gumming my food makes me appreciate its texture.

Seriously, I've got to thank these nitwits and "the squad" for giving me a reason to never consider voting for one of them again.

You wouldn't believe this crap if you didn't hear it yourself with your own ears.

I am reading a lot of news reports in the lamestream media about how Mueller didn't "exonerate" Trump on the obstruction of justice issue, disregarding the many other things that came out - or didn't come out - in Mueller's testimony. Fake news is 100% real.

Of course the fact that the other side continues to rant and rave like they're batshit crazy doesn't mean that we don't need to put our own house in order. (Not speaking to or at you, Bill, as it is eminently clear how much you care about doing just that via NRA and other issues needing addressing.)

I am very much a Trump fan, but there are absolutely things that could be improved. He needs to let his professional spokespeople do their job, and needs to stop hanging out with people like Cohen and Manafort.

If there is any lesson from the NRA mess, it is the necessity of keeping one's house in order.

As far as I'm concerned, when I read about all the ranting and raving the Dems are doing, I'm reminded of a 3 yr old throwing a tantrum.. I am convinced beyond a doubt, that liberals, socialists, communists, are all mentally ill.. The fact that they were willing to waste 10 of millions of taxpayer dollars on useless investigations, knowing they were based on fraud, and lies, that when nowhere, simply because they were butthurt over losing an election that they, and the media had convinced themselves was in the bag, says it all..

So, here is their exoneration ploy:

Nadler: And what about total exoneration? Did you actually totally exonerate the President?

Mueller: No.

Nadler: Now, in fact, your report expressly states that it does not exonerate the President.

Mueller: It does.

Sounds bad until you realize the fact that prosecutors don't exonerate anyone -- ever. Prosecutors charge people with crimes, or they don't. That's the full scope of their power. it is not standard for prosecutors to exonerate defendants in a court of law and that even if a jury found one to be innocent, they would still not obtain the status of "exonerated." The whole thing was BS.

Then, under Republican questioning, Mueller conceded that his was the first Justice Department investigation in history to claim that its unindicted subject was not exonerated.

Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas: Can you give me an example other than Donald Trump, where the Justice Department determined that an investigated person was not exonerated because their innocence was not conclusively determined?

Mueller: I cannot -- but this as unique.

Ratcliffe: Okay, well, you can't -- time is short. I've got five minutes. Let's just leave it at you can't find it because, I'll tell you why, it doesn't exist.

Volume 2 was created by a legal team dedicated to destroying Trump. Mueller was only a figurehead.

There she is...The next chairwoman of The Peoples Republic of Puerto Rico, with the Govenor of PR stepping down the other day, because of corruption charges being leveled at him, maybe we could get AOC to go down there and take over as Chairwoman, Maybe even Chairwoman for life, We could cut Puerto Rico loose to form their own country,(without any aid from the U.S., I mean, they just got $90 billion that went.....somewhere) And she could show us just how this socialism thing can really work..all in favor? Raise your hands..

I actually support this idea.

Send her and the other proponents of socialism down there and let them "show us how well it works when done right".

That way when the malarkey starts you can just click away.
I should add this also includes not clicking in the first place.

For example, about 90sec ago, it occurred to me that I really do not give a rodent's hind parts about WTH Bette Midler may or may not think, and I could not care less that she may or may not have been denounced, or that she may or may not have made a shocking claim, because I am relatively certain I would not be shocked by anything she may or not have claimed, so there really is no reason for me to click on the clickbait that says:
Bette Midler denounced for shocking claim about black Trump backers

I can move right along and spend my time clicking on:
Teen girl and dad reel in 700-pound tuna after 10 hours

And a few links down the page there is a story about Katee Sackoff, so life is just fine without reading about Bette Midler...

Happy to see this discussion on PF. My two cents is to read Breitbart.com .
It is the best analytical website I am aware of.
If you have others that are along the same vein please post them because I am always looking to expand my sources.

Of course you are right, Bill. If the Republicans (and Trump) can just dial it down a notch, "the Squad" and the rest of the shrill hard-Left might be the single best argument for a second Trump term. They (the Left) are determined to scream and wail about just the Mueller report for Heaven knows how long.....

I have been telling my missus for some time that "the squad" is the best thing to happen to Trump's reelection bid, with the rest of the Dem candidates and their tomfoolery following close behind.

Absolutely. And here we were, wondering how on earth the dems could possibly put forth a public face as unappetizing as Hillary’s to forfeit 2020 in 2016’s grand fashion. I should have known that they’d figure it out.

I am left wondering what other ''gifts the Dems will render unto Caesar''; they've been quite generous so far. Don't want to appear to be 'greedy'.

I don't think they see it as a waste of taxpayers money. I think they see it as campaign finance. Financing their campaigns. Just a different strategy that streaks on by most people and they don't see it. Trump is now doing the same thing by ordering Barr to investigate the "investigation".

https://www.businessinsider.com/william-barr-investigation-cia-russia-pompeo-election-2019-7

I worked for a gov't agency for a long time and "investigations" were mostly politically motivated. I had a manager that was quick to investigate. He used it as a fear tactic. He told me one time I was being "investigated". What he found out was I personally knew several of his managers. His investigation was somehow cut short. I asked him one time how it was going and I didn't get a response.

During the 2016 elections Dennis Miller had a great bit about "living life from the inside out" that really resonated.

Here's the best explanation I found of what he mentioned:

"Rather than permit ourselves to be defined by difficult times—what he calls “living from the outside-in”—he continually urges listeners to instead, “live from the inside-out.”

What does he mean? Don’t sweat the general culture’s disapproval. Don’t look “outside” ourselves for personal validation. In short, don’t allow our personal joie de vivre to depend on the outcome of elections, court rulings, media fairness, or what others think, believe, or do.

This takes discipline. So, focus on those “internal” things that give your life meaning; faith, personal philosophy, family and friends. Take the time to recreate, travel, learn, and relax with hobbies. Do these things and we will be at the cause of our lives, rather than the effect of the cultural environment—to the point that the dysfunctional world we inhabit will lose its ability to disrupt the things we care most about."

Smith says that doesn’t mean abandoning the public square, but it does mean living in a sort of personal Benedict Option, in which you selectively withdraw behind a wall of detachment within which you can maintain your inner peace by night, so to speak, even as you go out into the world to engage it by day.
