A list of electronic deals (https://amzn.to/2ljyi5J). Might be picking up a second Instant Pot. Hopefully, they'll have some home improvement stuff on sale, because we're in the market.

The rumor is that fulfillment center workers are planning a walkout to protest working conditions. That might get... interesting.

I think there is a promo code for stuff shipped and sold by amazon - $5 off $15 books and/or $50 for general merchandise. I'm not entirely sure what the terms are since I've seen people saying both and I haven't bothered looking deeper, but worth a shot if you're above that limit anyways.

Also there should be a deal for buying $25 in Amazon gift cards and getting a $5 promo credit after prime day ends.

Kindle waterproof, paperwhite, $85. So, Tom_Jones told me about these about 1.5 months ago and I bought one for $110. It’s awesome. It’s small enough to throw in your pocket, the fonts are amazing compared to an iPad, and it’s waterproof. I like the lack of distractions on it, just reading. Highly recommended if you want to bear down on some books.

Any suggestions for an Air Fryer? We may pick one up on Prime Day.

I grabbed the new Instant Pot Vortex Plus (https://www.digitaltrends.com/home/walmart-jumps-prime-day-with-instant-vortex-plus-7-in-1-air-fryer-oven/) from Walmart (https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/461120825?u1=15632233159720fo1&oid=652449.1&wmlspartner=9e1vMmumXG0&sourceid=37056311700681949970&affillinktype=10&veh=aff). Feature list looked aggressive. It's Walmart exclusive, to compete with Prime Day. Worth a shot.

They're a little off but new. Using Ebates, now Rakuten, I saved 10%. It'll be here Thursday. If interested in Ebates/Rakuten, here's a link (https://www.rakuten.com/button.htm?ref_id=AKJ1022&eeid=43663&utm_source=extension&utm_medium=raf_link) (affiliate). Is this it?

https://www.amazon.com/Sawyer-Products-SP128-Filtration-System/dp/B00FA2RLX2/

That’s one of them. The Mini.

For a little more I like the Micro, which has a higher flow.

https://www.amazon.com/Sawyer-Products-SP2129-Squeeze-Filtration/dp/B07HBMC32Y/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?keywords=sawyer+micro&qid=1563250126&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1

You can thread them directly to a Smart or Lifewater bottle and use it as a squeeze system. Fill up bottle at the stream and attach Sawyer filter and squeeze/suck and drink directly from the bottle.

Or with a little adapter connect two bottles with the filter in between and prop them up at camp and let gravity filter the water.

Really popular with weight conscious backpackers.

According to my son, who is 12 and knows way more about this than I do, this is a heck of a deal. It’s not a premium system as-is but it’s upgradable, which he knows how to do. He’s been saving up his grass cutting money for a gaming PC and I floated him a small loan to make up the difference just because it was on sale. Truly, I am a benevolent father.

Don’t ask me what any of this means.

They have a better version that costs more, but he says he can upgrade this one later for less than the price difference between the two. He was going on and on about it, and I’m pretty sure I looked at him the way my wife looks at me when I start going on about rifles. Sure, that’s great buddy.

And according to him and my own research, I’d be better off buying something like this for work since it doesn’t come preloaded with all the bloatware. I’d just install the programs I need for work and that’s it. It’d easily handle all my routine “office stuff” for years.

There’s also some deals on Lightning cables which I threw on to the order. We have multiple iPhones and iPads for work and cables constantly get lost (left on site) so I saved a couple bucks anyway.

So, I am not a tech person by any means. But I think I just feel safer with it in my own hands? Probably nonsensical since it’s a WiFi based system anyway.

There's definitely privacy concerns when storing anything in the cloud. Amazon's Ring doorbell caught some attention for that not too long ago (https://mashable.com/article/amazon-ring-ai-privacy-videos/). But cloud storage is going to be the easiest way to save videos, stream them, et cetera. I'd have to know more about how Blink's system works to comment further.
