According to the geezers at the range, who see it as their duty to loudly comment on everything, I'm firing "wimpy" reloads. Apparently second and third shots are happening much too soon to be attributed to anything else.

Heheheheheh

After taking the class I had the match of my life. Maybe there is something to it.

Keep practicing what you learned in class. See what they say 1 year from now.

That must be the reason since we know it's impossible to fire "full house" loads rapidly.

I attribute making Master to the enlightenment of AFHF.
Intelligent live fire practice, commitment to press outs all Ah ha moments after the class.

After I took Speed Kills and Get SOM, I went from C-class to A-class in L10. Shooting the same gun I shot in the class at that. I need to take some more classes this year.

So, while I certainly appreciate all the stories of people getting much better after AFHF, please keep in mind that you got better. And you got better because you put in the effort, you practiced, you evaluated what lessons worked and what ones didn't, you you you.

The only one standing there lining up the sights, pressing the trigger, and seeing that front sight lift is you. So if you accomplished something, you deserve the credit.

That's not very good marketing Todd! On the other hand, the fact that you would make such a statement is perhaps marketing genius.

True, but you teach the correct way to direct all that effort, and therefore deserve some credit, or at least acknowledgment. Teach a man to fish, etc.

I took the class this past weekend and found that I was better than I feared I might be, but worse than I hoped I would be. So now I have some real goals to work towards and some real tools to help me get there. I find the discovery part of the learning process in shooting great fun and being around a lot of good shooters really pushes you to be better. it was a good class for me.

Wait. So, I can't get better by just sending you a check for a few hundred bucks? Dammit.

On the contrary, that will totally work. You'll get 1% better per zero. For a limited time only, you can even count the two zeroes after the decimal point!

Want to be twice the shooter you are today? Just a send a check for
$100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,0 00,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 ,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.00 ... I can even set up a three-installment payment plan if that is more convenient for you.

Out of state checks will require two days for processing before your skill level increase will occur.

AND THIS JUST IN: Order within the next twenty minutes and you'll get two for the price of one. That's right, now you and a friend can both be twice the shooters you were before for just
$100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,0 00,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 ,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.00 (pay only $1M shipping and handling for the second order).

Offer void where prohibited by reality.

SkyLine1 and I were actually joking last week that if we had won the MegaMillions the first thing we'd do is hire ToddG for a month. But if we can just write a check, even better. Just, uh, don't cash it until after payday, OK?

Agreed. There is a big difference between just throwing a thousand rounds down range vs directed, goal oriented drills under the evaluation of an observant and honest diagnostician. FWIW, the only two times that I have placed at major matches were shortly after taking classes by Todd and Ernie.

I thought I could shoot.
I thought I would take your class and improve my skills.
I took your class; quickly discovering my skills were lacking.
I realized I had 30 years of bad habits with a lot of $$$ wasted; sending bullets into a backstop without purpose.
I was humbled and very appreciative of your teaching and skills.

I would have continued sending lead down range without purpose, if it wasn't for you.
