I’m hoping that some reputable online vendor has a sale on the Ruger Precision Rimfire....been lusting after one for a while now and need the final push to break out the VISA....

Damn that's like the super poor mans Honey Badger...

Are PSA AR stuff good to go or basically range toy junk?

Entirely depends. They make a lot that run, but most armorers I know of also say they’re one of the highest problem manufacturers. Not sure anyone can really say the percentage of issues. That being said, I’ve bought one each phosphate and nitride uppers. The former cane with a basic BCG with not great styling and I bought a separate premium BCG with solid staking for the latter. Both have done at least 700 rounds without issue, mixture of brass and steel. The phosphate even produced a 1” group with OTM rounds at 50m. The nitride was about 3” though. IMO, if your defensive rifles are covered and you just want to add to the stockpile or have a beater gun then they can be great options for the money (the phosphate was $199 including BCG, the nitride was about $225 without BCG IIRC). I only buy ones with fixed FSPs though, I figure they’re harder to mess up and pair well with Magpul handguards.

Thanks! I think I need to get around to finishing up my two lowers with some uppers this sale season...
