The book is fantastic by the way, written by Gaimen and Pratchett. It really plays to both their strengths! Easily one of the easiest books for me to recommend.

I read part of the book years ago. I like it in small doses, but it would start to wear on me after a while. I need to go back and finish it. As for the show, it's much the same for me, but still well made and amusing.

Well, divergent opinion here. I bought the book on Kindle. Slogged through 'till 31%; skipped to 80% to finish and find out how it ended. For me, every scene was a near miss. The parts with Adam and the kids were deadly boring.
I expect the series will be much better since the strength of the book was the interaction between the demon and the angel.
