Kaskaskia, IL, almost completely flooded in the spring of 2017. Kaskaskia was the first capital of Illinois. It was cut off from the rest of the state when the Mississippi River jumped its banks and cut a new channel sometime in the 19 century. I don’t believe that more than a dozen or so people still live there.
