On par with every other standard NRALE Instructor course. Very basic, often a bit dated in methodology, but nothing grossly unsound. A step above the NRA civilian side, but that isn't saying much either. Biggest plus may be the name recognition of the NRA in certain areas, but I don't personally assign any value to an instructor just because they have an NRALE cert.

There and back.

You hit the nail on the head. Dated curriculum. MOA only, no mils. Little rigor and low accuracy standards. Half of class time devoted to powerpoint and could be spent in hands-on interactive learning. Not without some gems and not a complete waste of time. Best for less experienced PR shooters. Probably better seen as a precision rifle 201 course, or a possible bridge course from standard patrol rifles to the LPV/enhanced patrol rifle/DM concept. Upon information and belief, there also appears to be considerable variation between instructors and locations.

Qual requires 200yd body shots, a few 100yd head shots, and positional shooting thereafter to a full size TQ21 target. Very pedestrian.

Thanks to all who shared info.
