Looking for some input on travel too Kenwood CA next week. Flying into San Francisco and driving to kenwood, staying at an AirBNB , private home, on 13 acres. When I travel I normally take a pistol (G43 or G19 gen 2), I have a FL CCW. I know CA does not offer reciprocity. I’m trying to decide if it’s worth it to take my G43 purely for home defense since I cannot travel with it in the vehicle or on my person loaded.
We will be visiting the winery’s during most days, no planned excursion into SF area other than arrival and departure. Trying to gauge the area and if it’s even worth the hassle of taking the pistol. Also any input on knives? Everything I have Frye’s to research states less than 3” and no fixed blades. If anyone has any other input much appreciated.
