Situational awareness fail... for both of them.
Never stare at a ATM screen.
Screen, 360, screen, 360, repeat.
Personally I would have drawn and fired as he did the orangutan shuffle (pants around knees, shirt over face in one hand, gangsta gun in the other).
If I had of missed that opportunity, then the head shot would have come when the "victim" went on the offensive.
This video is a good example of where a fast draw to a precision shot is a valuable skill to have.
Plenty of opportunities without having to physically make space first.
