I've got to put a "G" kit in my new 92A1 tonight and am looking for some guidance/instruction. I did a search on Youtube. Langdon Tactical doesn't have anything on it. I found several videos, but not sure who to trust. MrGunsngear was one of the top hits, but then I watched one of his AR lower assembly vids to gauge his competency and if his Beretta vid is the same level of derp, that's not what I want to be following. I just don't know what I don't know about the Beretta. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I read that thread, but I'm missing the part where it tells me how to install it? Maybe I'm just dense.

Forgot the link to the official instructions was buried in the Beretta product link.

I went off the Mrgunsngear video. I've done 3 of them now without any problems.

I watched MrGNG and Yankee Marshal’s videos before hand and had YM’a on while I did it. I would watch them pause, do that part and move to the next step and so on. Worked for me. My 1/16” punch was a hair too wide. So I buzzed my punch on the grinder to slim it a hair and was good to go.

Also went off of MrGunsngear's video. Kind of a pain in the ass to do, but I got it done. If I can do it...anyone can. And agree 1/16 punch is a hair to wide and needs to be slimmed down or I think use a 2mm punch.

Brownell's has a punch set specifically for working on Beretta 90-series safety-decockers. I think it was maybe $10.

My lack of patience cost me more than $10 worth of aggravation and time on this particular task. Lesson learned.

Thanks for that information. While I am probably the only person in the world who like the FS model and thinks that the Beretta safety is useable and well designed, I still (very) occasionally detail strip the slides and a specific 92 series punch set would be useful.

For most of us we're only going to use the one punch to remove the F lever. But the set comes with a punch for reinstalling the pin on the F lever. I think the safety isn't intuitive but once you learn how to work it it's very usable for most people. And the Beretta version is the most workable slide safety/decocker I've come across. I still much prefer decock only.

Installation went off without a hitch. My Grace 1/16” roll pin punch worked fine for the 2 small pins on the safety lever. 5/64” for the Firing Pin Block.
