Not surprising. All of those people made the cut for my Douche Bag list a long time ago. The good news is, I and any other intelligent person don't care what an actor says or thinks. If they don't like guns then good for them. I hope they are never in a situation where they need one. Also, I think it's funny that the most ardent antigunners are usually those surrounded by armed guards. Go fucking figure!!!!

Jessica Simpson is the only one worth anything in my book.

Mark Wahlberg wishes no one could own guns. If I were a convicted criminal who was not allowed to own guns, maybe I'd be bitter and wish everyone was in the same boat with me, too.

Or, maybe I wouldn't be a @#$^#!!!!!

What really gets me is a hypocricy. These people made millions using weapons on-screen. If you're so amped about gun ownership, why don't you be true to your principles and reject each and every script that has guns in it?

Apparently, Mark Walhberg is a "committed Roman Catholic" who had 3 out of 4 kids out of wedlock. Hypocrisy seems to come natural to him...

In fairness, I do see the internal logic there. If the Hollywood where every single round from a fully automatic weapon kills a different person seems real, guns suddenly seem really scary.

I will say that none of the people on this list surprised me. My surprises usually go in the opposite direction, to be honest.

Which one is Mark again? The Wahlbergs are like Baldwins to me. I can't keep them straight and really could care less. :p

What I want to know is how Marky-Mark handles guns on the set without the Funky Bunch of Investigation raiding the studio...

Mehhh...
I'm not the same person I was when I was 16-25 either.
I don't have the same arrest record as him, but I did plenty that would have resulted in jail time if caught.

Mark was in "Shooter".
Donnie was in "Band of Brothers".
A plethora of guns in both.

To my knowledge, Donnie has been smart enough to keep his mouth shut on most issues. He did a heck of a job in Band of Brothers as Carwood Lipton and he almost gets it right on Blue Bloods, so hopefully he is not a total lost cause.

But NOTHING out of Hollywood surprises me except for the rare actor that actually gets it.

Conservative Actors Reveal Life of Secrecy, Lost Jobs Amidst 'Intolerant Left'

Brittany, who was one of the most visible celebrities supporting the Republican ticket of McCain-Palin over the Democratic ticket of Obama-Biden during the last presidential election, has a daughter in her 20s who is a struggling actress. Her advice to her is: "Don't tell them you're my daughter."

Maybe not, but he is a prohibited person.

For these crimes, Wahlberg was charged with attempted murder, pled guilty to assault, and was sentenced to two years in jail at Boston's Deer Island House of Correction, of which he served 45 days.[10][12]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Wahlberg#Assaults_and_conviction

Prohibited person:

The Gun Control Act (GCA) makes it unlawful for certain categories of persons to ship, transport, receive, or possess firearms. 18 USC 922(g). Transfers of firearms to any such prohibited persons are also unlawful. 18 USC 922(d).

These categories include any person:

Under indictment or information in any court for a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year;
convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year;

1) He was a minor, so when in California doesn't it not affect him since minors' records are sealed in CA?

2) IIRC, in MA you have to serve a 2 year sentence in prison to be considered a felon. He served 45 days in a county jail, thus never earned a title that any federal agency would care about. He wouldn't get hit on a NICS check, from what I understand, just because he was convicted.

Maybe some of the legal guys on here could comment. Definitely a tricky situation, and I don't imagine he's actually breaking laws for these movies. I'm sure there's plenty of people who would make sure he was prosecuted if they had the chance.

I don't know, I'm not that familiar with the laws or his case.

Some states will vacate the conviction after a period of time for minors and first offenders. Not sure if that's the case here.

I think a lot of us have done stupid shit, but there is a difference between teenage shenanigans and blinding someone in one eye while screaming racial epithets.

Schwarzenegger should be #1. Every one else just spouts their mouths off, Schwarzenegger is the only one on that list that's actually signed anti-gun bills into law.
