Primarily I'm seeking input on Hock Hochheim and his CQC training. He'll be teaching a seminar at the end of March (http://www.hockscqc.com/shop/product440.html) here in Las Vegas and I'd like to get some input on Hock, his training and any other useful information that can be had.

The live fire portion is taught by Chuck Burnett, a local firearms instructor, who owns Invictus Training (http://www.invictustraining.com/index.html). The only thing I know about him is that he was one of the instructors at Front Sight for 8 years according to his website.

My main interest is the CQC portion taught by Hock but am interested in any info that anybody has on Chuck as well.

Don't know about his CQC course, but he was pretty well known for his teaching of WW2 combatives and Applegate point shooting methods quite a while back. He had a good reputation as an instructor, I would assume that is still valid.

Thanks for your input. His Bio on his website looks good, although fairly dated, and I was hoping to get some up to date info.

One of the warrant officers I have high regards for thought well enough of Hock to be a affiliated instructor of his combative methods a few years back.

Haha. I actually sold some PMags to Chuck yesterday.

Hey, I found this from Rider:

Chuck is a great instructor, he did a private basic handgun/CCW class for some of my co-workers earlier this year. This is a good opportunity for those of us who work weekends.

I know Chuck and he is in fact a great instructor. You will not be disappointed with his portion of the course.
