The alternative point of view could be that this dude is one walking shit magnet. Combined with a death of a 9/11 survivor in this shooting, this makes for a really weird and tragic event.

I have to wonder if his recently elevated public profile is good for his safety. He may be an attractive target now. Certainly the SAS was concerned about their dude being targeted - he was reportedly rushed out of the country after pics of him went viral, even with the balaclava.
