I want to add lights to my Taco, say a stealth light bar and ditch lights. I've found a couple of places that basically have plug and play lights, wiring harness, etc. I'm not an automotive electric guy, so tell me what I don't know and/or how badly I can fuck this up.

Maybe more info on this site for your questions.

FWIW, the wiring itself isn't hard, but you need to be aware of the legalities of automotive lighting in your region. You might have to wire them in such a way that they can't be run if your headlights are on (or if your highbeams are on, etc). For example here in VA we can't have our offroad lights on with high beams and they won't pass state safety inspections (they must be covered or removed for inspection).

Idk about Tacomas specifically but as long as you can back up and put things back the way they were you won't screw yourself over, unless it's something that voids a warranty. While it's not difficult, if you're not sure your best bet may be to go to a shop that deals in this and just have it done there.

In Florida we don't care about safety. ;) No safety inspections but I will check the rules.

I'm looking at Cali Raised, basically idiot proof and easily undone. If I had to tap into something else for power it would be beyond me.

I'm looking at their stealth mount. Will post how it goes and turns out.
