I don't own one but am, for whatever reason, looking to. I don't own nor have I ever fired any SA product and don't know anyone who has. Just wondering what your thoughts are regarding the XDm (in general) if you've owned one, and especially the 10mm version.

Had a XD .45 Sub Compact about 10 years ago. Sold it maybe two years after I got it. It shot fine, but my experience level then is not what it is today.

I would not buy another XD based pistol given what I know now.

I sorta fell into an XD-M 9mm about five years ago. The 4" one.
I shot it about 1K.
My thoughts were it was heavy and had a very high bore axis.

It functioned fine.
Traded it even for a nib 442-1.

I do not want another one.

I hear you. I want. I’ll be able to retire the S&W 1076.

Heavy I would like, but yes, I thought they looked awfully 'tall'. I recall measuring my P229 once and found it was a full 1/2" higher at the bore that my SW M&P, and just a casual glance says the XDm is comparable. I think an M&P in 10 would be more attractive to me, but I'm pretty sure I'll be dust in the wind long before that happens.
