Yes, I know, revolvers prefer leather... and that will happen.

Right now though I'm looking for a kydex OWB holster for a S&W 625 mountain gun that's inbound, 4 inch barrel, 45 Colt. This is intended to be a rainy season backcountry rig. Not finding a whole lot of choices so far except for CompTac.

Bladetech Kydex OWB with a tech lock attachment is how my 629 Mountain gun used to ride. Held it securely, satisfactory draw, I was happy that the height was adjustable and I had it set up with their DOH attachment. Not even sure if they make them now.

Another vote for the BladeTech OWB Kydex holster for an "N" frame revolver. I carry my S&W .44 Magnum Mountain Revolver in one, and it has served very well.

For years, I ran my N frame revolvers in a Blade Tech OWB on a Wilderness belt.

I would see if Dale Frickie would make a Gideon Elite for it.

Blade Tech has really cut back on the guns for which they make holsters.

I recommend Tucker holsters. Mr. Tucker sometimes post here but won't jump up and push his products. See http://tuckergunleather.com

After looking at his website, you can call him and discuss your needs. I assure you that he will work with you to identify a suitable holster. He has a kydex paddle holster for about $60, and then there are many more. Mr. Tucker is a Texan.

For clarity, Mr. Tucker left Tucker Gun Leather several years ago (he's now at Tucker and Byrd https://www.tuckerandbyrd.com ). Rob Longenecker is the man behind Tucker Gun Leather and has been for at least a decade.

By the way, I looked earlier before posting above - I don't think Tucker offer's kydex for S&W N-Frames.

Dale Frike made me a nice N-frame holster. Recommended.

Thank you for clarifying. I had reference to Rob and got the name confused.
