I ate two pounds of bacon before I took my DAT (Dental Admissions Test). I did pretty well on it. I also ate another two pounds before PART ONE of my NBDE test. I also did well.
Eating bacon before tests is a recipe for success.

Long, long ago on a college campus far, far away, students were allowed to stock beverage vending machines. “Treasurer’s Choice” might have been a relaxing option.

Back in the 80's things like that were quite common in Japan, right out on the street corner.

My college dorm had a bar/restaurant in the basement. Try that now.

I worked a job at the Alitalia Flight Training Center about 10 years ago. They a few of these. At a pilot training center. Think about that for a minute...
The company a la carte lunch that we had pre-paid with our contract had free white or red wine with lunch(single serve, 1 glass bottles like you'd get on an airplane), but I had to pay for a soda.

They had one of those in a hotel I was in. There was a clerk checking ID’s though.

The had beer in the soda vending machines in the barracks when I got to Germany back in the 80s. Not that anyone wanted a Budwieser when they could walk out the back gate and get Spessart.

Back in 2012, my hotel in Narita Japan had beer in the vending machine on my floor, plus canned coffee and tea.

In the early 90s I was at Ft Sherman Panama, and in the D-FAC was a vending machine that sold beer instead of soda.
