I've got one on order for when my application to the secret guild of super-human assassins is processed.

Good thing I don't really aim with my eyes when bending bullets, or those sights might be a problem.

Theme guns, for those attracted to shiny.

Completely impractical (especially with that front sight), but I can't help but start in with that "Lo there do I see my father..."

If you are ever near Epping, NH, go buy Sig Academy and take a look at the guns on display in their shop. I think Sig tries hard to come up with outlandish designs simply to say, "Look at me!" Purple, gold, chrome, nickel, rainbow... and that is just one gun!

How does that even work?!? The notch becomes a square aperture beneath the sail, but there's a figurehead on top of the front sight. The figurehead would completely obscure your target. Ok, this just went from being over-the-top to full retard.

Yep, they are building new facilities at their range and they just leased a larger building to expand their manufacturing.

I understand guns that are engraved to the point that they are essentially unshootable objets d'art, or at least I do when the guns in question are old Broomhandles or Lugers that probably wouldn't get much range time anyway. They're not my personal cup of tea, but I understand them.

What I don't get is heavy engraving and serious bling on modern MIM-'n'-plastic guns full of toaster parts. It's like seeing hand-stitched Connolly leather, lambswool Wilton carpets, and a hand-polished walnut burl dash in a Toyota Camry with stamped steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps.

Actually, the X-series of SIG pistols are really nice and completely unlike their mass produced cousins. It's like mistaking a Rock Island with an SVI. They're built to be able to shoot 2" groups at 50 yards.

Impractical, yes. Just like a custom 1911 :)

You know you want one.

I mean, think of the possibilities... it's an AK firing, most likely, 30 year old Eastern bloc mil surp ammo, with the extra accuracy upgrade of a flimsy wire underfolding stock (ever try the cheek weld on those?), mixed with the AK irons with their "legendary accuracy potential"... and it all up, mix with a homebrew bolt action system (probably just a big charging handle welded to the bolt carrier and some mechanism to keep it from accidentally being removed on the bolt cycle...), and you've got a recipe for "Tack Driving Accuracy (TM)".

I would be a fool to not want one... and my previous PSL/FPK and XD40 ("it's got stopping power, but won't overpenetrate or kill people in the next room" is what the local gun shop told me, I swear...) ownership PROVES that I am no fool.

Now, what's the pricing on the Viking SIG and where do I send my check? If I ever go pillaging and razing villages, this is the sidearm for me. Combine it with a quality, modern longarm like one of those KelTec RFBs, and I think I can safely retire my Mosin-Nagant/HiPoint pistol combo.

The weapon has obviously been blessed by Odin. Empty cases wouldn't dare defy the will of Odin. I mean, that's worse that walking up to Chuck Norris and impugning the chastity of his mother.

reminds me of the guy who showed up to a ccw course:

He rolls up has his handgun in his pocket with the holster :D

instructor is like uh, you might be better off putting it on your belt, the guy refuses and says this is how he carries it.

first draw the holster comes out with the gun, so he finally listens.

His carry gun is chromed up sig with gold accessories and a design on the top.

more to the story but I should probably stop now.... makes you wonder if some people are responsible enough to carry
