Cowboys defeated the Redskins, today.

We had pork tenderloin, mashed spuds, and my “famous” green bean casserole (the secref is crushed red pepper), to celebrate the physical and cultural appropriation of North America by heavily armed white people*.

Hope you enjoyed your turkey or whatever and are now preparing for your midnight battles at Wal-Mart and Best Buy that are probably more dangerous than Running with the Bulls.

*This is sarcasm. Though an accurate statement of history, I celebrate Thanksgiving to celebrate the things we are fortunate to have and the progress we have made, not to denigrate history.

I have to work. But one of the supervisors is a pretty good cook and originally from Louisiana. We had smoked turkey that was even juicier than when it was alive, cornbread stuffing, and seafood gumbo. That takes some of the sting out of it. Even the corn was awesome. It's just corn, but somehow way better than any corn I've ever had.

Since there isn't a football team called the Pilgrims, I suppose that's as close as the NFL will get to a historical re-enactment.
