Does such a thing exist? Adjustability is nice but the S&W adjustable rears are easy to damage. Is there a more robust option out there?

Never tried it but there’s the Bowen Rough Country sight.

This is the best option.

That’s what I put on my 69 along with a Protocall gold dot front. Very happy with both.

I bought a 66 recently that came with a busted up rear sight so I put a Bowen on it. It's a really nice sight, very well made and great sight picture.

Put one on my pre-15 Combat Masterpiece during a rebuild and it’s a very nice sight. Rounded edges especially nice if you use a holster that tucks the frame tightly against your body.

How did this work out? I just put a HiViz front sight on my 2.75" M69. I am looking at putting a C&S U notch rear on mine as well. How did it work out for you and how did the gun shoot? High? Low?
Apologize for resurrecting an old thread, but just saw this while surfing for answers...

Mine surprised me how well my 125 golden sabers shoot to dead center of the front sight dot and my 158gr reloads shoot right to the tip.

I missed this when you posted it months ago. You can’t trot out a comment like that without posting pics of said awesomeness. Epic internet fail.
Seriously, though. Sounds cool.
But DB should still ban you for such behavior.

Wow. That was quick. Thanks for the pics. I love those kind of sights. That’s a nice set up.

Millett (back in the days when they actually made sights....) had a very nice rear and front sight set-up that you could get either individually or as a set. The rear sight appears to be pretty similar to Bowen's Target sights.
On my GP100, I have the complete set, on my Security Six, I went with just the front sight, which, on both is their Orange Bar, which is about as bright as a fiber optic, and a heck of a lot more durable.
Probably available to a limited extent on ebay and the other similar suspect sites.

I put this sight on my S&w 19-3

Works pretty well, much better than the factory one.

I'm sure the Bowen and Weigand rear sights provide excellent sight pictures, but both look like a snag during the draw, waiting to happen. For sure carrying concealed. And unless the Bowen now has more rounded corners than the last one I saw, that's a gouged forearm waiting to happen too. Just sayin'!

I have one on my 6 inch revolver so pretty much a target gun. I doubt the stock sights would be much better at the snaging and gouging [emoji3]

Trust me, they aren't. I had sport coat linings ripped when I was a detective and Hawaiian shirts torn when off duty by S&W adjustable rear sights. (smile)

When I recently re-sighted the rear sight on my Security Six, I just used the current Ruger revolver adjustable rear sight. They're well made, and Ruger provided it to me gratis, but even of you have to pay for them, they're inexpensive. The Ruger sight blade is a bit better shielded than comparable OEM Smith & Wesson blades. I'm pretty sure that Ruger uses an aluminum sight body; Bowen uses steel.
Both Bowen sights (Target and Rough Country) are $100+, and then there's installation; I don't know if they need to be fitted; the Ruger ones are a drop-in proposition.

Not an issue in my case - it’s a field gun, and the holster covers the rear sight.

I've got Bowens on half a dozen guns. No fitting required. Yes the corners are sharp--I will knock the edges off, then cold blue them. You can't go wrong except for the price. And if you change ammo a lot, its an opposing screw adjustment system that is more annoying than the one screw factory adjustable set up.
