I learned (poorly) how to shoot a pistol, back in 1989-1990, with red dots. I re-learned on iron sights almost 10 years later, which was how I should have started.
But my eyes are now total crap (20/200, astigmatism, colorblind, AND crystalized protein clusters in the dead center of both my eyes) and it's time for better solutions. My dad gave me custody of the sub2000 above recently (laugh all you want-- reliable as a brick, and IT TAKES GLOCK MAGS :) ) and after a frustrating session trying to zero a crappy folding mount red dot, I removed it and the iron sights and slapped on this Tasco sight I learned to shoot with (on the family Buckmark).
OMG, I have seen the light! (Pun intended) Even my cross-eye dominance isn't an issue anymore!
My only question now is should I put my slightly less gianormous Tasco on my 625 for a possible pin shooting setup, or put it back on the PT92 that was the 9mm I shot back in day, which is now my nightstand gun.
